Simple biscuits

Simple biscuits

These biscuits will be perfect for any meal these do include milk but not too much. You can make these in about 40 minutes 20 for prep and 20 for baking as you do them often you'll get faster and the time will cut down. It's always nice to make something homemade for a holiday or for any day of the week you and your family will notice the difference.

Ingredients

2 cups of all purpose flour
1 table spoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon sugar
3/4 cup of milk
8 table spoons of butter

Method:

Step 1: Mix flour, baking powder, salt sugar in a bowl
Step 2: add butter you can mix it in with a fork until it looks like crumbs
Step 3: add the milk and form your dough.
Step 4: Kneed your dough on a floured surface
Step 5: roll out the dough to 1/2 inch thickness
Step 6: cut out small circles using a cookie cutter or small glass
Step 7: Bake at 350 for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown.
Step 8: Melt a little butter and brush your biscuits before serving

Tips:

*Try not to melt the butter when you are forming your dough you really want it to melt during the baking process.
*If you don't have a rolling pin use a wine bottle with the label washed off or an empty pasta jar. If you do this you will need to flour it much more often
*If your dough is too dry add a teaspoon of milk at a time until you have a semi sticky dough
*Don't worry if your dough is sticky just think of the processed kind you get its always sticky coming out of the tube
*To melt the butter for brushing place in the microwave for a minute
*You can use the opening of pasta jars to cut out the circles
*Serve these warm they will not taste as good cold
*Do NOT add extra salt you will regret it
*for a quick snack you can put a piece of cheese in the middle and let it melt very yummy
